What still needs someone local

- Anything oxygen-related needs a power backup plan agreed at the house

Getting a hospital bed into an Islamabad apartment
This causes more delivery problems here than anywhere else we work. A great many Islamabad patients live in apartments — the G-11 and I-8 blocks, the newer towers in Gulberg Greens and Bahria, and a lot of the E-11 buildings. Several have no lift, and the ones that do often have lifts too small for a bed frame.
Hospital beds arrive in sections and can be carried up stairs, but it takes planning rather than improvisation. Before you book, check and tell us:
Tell us before delivery day
- Which floor, and whether there is a working lift
- Stairwell turns — tight landings are the real obstacle, not the number of steps
- The narrowest doorway on the route to the bedroom
- Whether a guard or building manager needs prior notice for entry
- Parking near the entrance for unloading
Outer areas need earlier booking
- Bani Gala and Bhara Kahu — hill roads, plan the timing
- Chak Shahzad — spread out, confirm the exact landmark
- B-17 and Top City — distance from the centre affects same-day slots
- Park View City and Capital Smart City — entry passes take time
Where access is genuinely impossible for an electric bed, a manual bed is narrower and lighter, and often the sensible answer rather than a compromise.

One factor the table cannot show: while equipment is rented, repairing or replacing it stays our problem. On anything with a motor, a pump or a compressor, that is worth more than the monthly difference suggests.
Power, cold and the things families discover late
Power backup
- Concentrators, ventilators and pumps each need their own socket, not a shared extension
- Anything oxygen-related needs a UPS or generator plan agreed before delivery
- Ask us the battery run time on the specific unit and test it once
- Older sector houses often need the wiring checked before several devices run together
Islamabad winters
- Cold months are when respiratory patients deteriorate — concentrators and BiPAP machines go out fastest in that period
- Book early in winter rather than assuming same-day availability
- Keep the patient's room warm but ventilated; concentrators run warm and need air around them
- Gas heaters and oxygen must never be used in the same room

Medical equipment rental in Islamabad — FAQs
Can equipment reach an Islamabad address the same day?
Same-day is standard where the item is in stock. Because most Islamabad orders are discharge-driven, tell us the discharge date and time when you first message so we can plan around it rather than react to it.
We are abroad. Can we arrange everything remotely?
The enquiry, the quote and the payment can all be handled remotely. What still needs someone at the house is receiving the delivery and attending the demonstration — ideally whoever will be operating the equipment day to day.
Our building has no lift. Is a hospital bed still possible?
Usually yes. Beds are carried up in sections. Tell us the floor and how tight the stairwell turns are when you book, and if an electric bed genuinely will not fit, a manual bed is narrower and lighter.
Do you charge more for delivery to Islamabad than Lahore?
Rental rates are the same in every city we serve. Delivery charges are quoted upfront based on the location, and outer areas take longer rather than costing dramatically more.
What if the equipment develops a fault during the rental?
Repair and replacement during the rental period are our responsibility. Message us and we will sort it — you are not charged again for a fault in our equipment.
Which oxygen concentrator do we need, 5 litre or 10 litre?
It depends on the flow rate the doctor has prescribed, not on how unwell the patient looks. Most home oxygen needs are met by a 5 litre unit. Send us the prescription and we will confirm which is correct.
Can we rent now and buy later if it turns out to be long term?
Yes. Tell us and we will discuss purchase. The table above shows roughly when buying becomes cheaper on each item.
Do you also cover Rawalpindi?
